Hello,
We are a family of 3 looking to vacation in North Myrtle this summer. Just wanted to get some ideas on when the best time is to visit. We want to avoid the crowds as much as possible. We would like to stay right by the ocean and be able to bike and roller blade.
Thanks
Grace
Where to stay and best time to visit North Myrtle Beach
Early June or late August would be less crowded than in between times. Tilghman Beach and Raquet Club in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle would be a good choice.

We have vacationed in NMB for 18 years. If you want to avoid the big crowds then go the last week of August or later. The schools go back usually around the 20th or so and the crowds thin out after that. Of course that is the middle of hurricane season [ get travel insurance! ]. You can have beautiful weather for swimming, golfing etc, until October. The rates are lower also. You can go thru one of the realty comp. and get a great oceanfront condo. Just let them know the type of accom. you want - luxury, family style, etc. They have always done well with our trips. We have used Elliott Realty, Grand Strand Realty, Condo World.
Early June or late August. Try Grand Strand Resorts at northmyrtlebeach.com
Depending on the age of your chilren, late August. early September is fantastic. We always went 1st full week of Sept and really enjoyed. Weather nice and not as crowed. Since granddaughter has started school we go 3rd week in August now and isn%26#39;t too bad. HAve been lucky to avoid Hurricanes but do take travel insurance with rental company.
we always go the 3rd week in august. the rates go down this week and it is always wonderful weather.
Ocean Drive area for sure . Ashworth , Ocean Bay Club , Avista or Tilghman B %26amp; R .all good choices . lots of things to do and see within walking distance . Barefoot Landing about 5 or 6 miles down on Rt 17 .
