I will be in Myrtle Beach in July. My kids love seafood- crab, shrimp, any of it. What are some really good restaurants? I would prefer something local and not a chain restaurant. Also, the kids will be with my in-laws one night who are also going along and we would like a quiet place for the two of us that has fresh shrimp etc.
My sister in law wants to take the kids to the Midevil Times (? spelling?) spelling dinner theater. Is this worth it? I think I%26#39;ll let the kids go and my husband and I can get some local fresh seafood. I am not really in to burgers and fries that I can get here in the midwest. Is the amusement park still there?
where are the best restaurants?
Too many to just start naming them off. Where are you staying and far do you want to drive?
where are the best restaurants?
There is a STICKY at the top of the forums that lists a cornucopia of restaurants courtesy of one of the local experts ';ANYBOBNMB';. This will probably be the most informative thread to check for your answer.
there is one seafood place I ate at last year called ';Bennet%26#39;s Calabash Seafood'; I%26#39;m not much into seafood but they had ALL kinds and it was REALLY good. There is also Mammy%26#39;s Kitchen %26amp; Preston%26#39;s These are very large buffet places w/ both country %26amp; seafood. I believe they have more seafood than country though. %26amp; if you REALLY LOVE seafood then it would definetly be worth your time to drive down to Murrell%26#39;s Inlet probabyly 5 or 10 minutes from MB. They have ALL kinds of seafood restaurants right on the water %26amp; some not on the water but I know for a fact that it%26#39;s fresh becasue you can watch them take the fish shrimp, etc. from the boats into the restaurants. Murrells Inlet BTW is probably the Seafood capital in South Carolina or on the East Coast. I%26#39;m not sure about Medieval Times its probably like the rest of the dinner shows. They serve you something to eat %26amp; you watch a show IMO I dont like those but that%26#39;s just me. Oh %26amp; the Amusement Parks. Well there is The Pavilion %26amp; Family Kingdom both have free entries but you pay for the rides. Sadly though the Pavilion is closing after this summer. BUT the good news is in 2008 the Hard Rock Cafe Theme Park will be done %26amp; the new Interstate. there is plenty of water parks. O %26amp; The Myrtle Beach Grand Prix amusement park is another one too. Hope you enjoy your trip.
We will be staying at the Caribbean Resort and Villas
3000 North Ocean Blvd.

Burgers=Hamburger Joes(great view from back porch)
Upscale=Parsons Table
Hi, What about the same close to the Hampton Inn Oceanfront Suites?? All of us love seafood and one loves a nice steak.. Thanks for you input!
Guess I need to add to the list....I think at one time (and I%26#39;m sure there are many more now!) that if you ate out every meal of the day, every day of the year you still wouldnt eat at half of our restaurants here! That sounds like a good diet! Ha!

TONYMIK or MB...
One of you guys mentioned a restaurant in a post back in april...you said if was very good but not many people know about it...I thought you said it was around 50th or 60th st....do you happen to know which one I am referring to?
TIA.
Hmmmm.....well, Luigi%26#39;s was located at 52nd Ave N (great little Italian place), and then there was Blue Water Bistro, that became the City Market, they were located just off Kings Hwy at 61st Ave N...and guess what, that is now where Luigi%26#39;s is .....do any of those ring a bell? Luigi%26#39;s is wonderful! And I love the indoor/outdoor beer garden type area...
