Just recently Quebec passed a law where you must be 9 meters (20 something feet) away from a public building to smoke. I would just like to know if there is any law in South Carolina about public smoking (me and my family can%26#39;t stand the smell of cigarette smoke).
Smoking in South Carolina?
Well....since you are in the heart of the tobacco belt, I hate to say that there isnt alot of regulations on smoking here at the beach. Some restaurants are smoke free...and most do offer a smoke free section ( :) )......but nothing quite that agressive.
:)
Smoking in South Carolina?
You can smoke really anywhere you want unless there are signs or something saying ';Smoke Free'; other than that you can smoke. But I never notice it%26#39;s not a big problem or anything.
Shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. Non-smoker here married to a smoker. There is almost always a breeze down there. Even if you%26#39;re downwind you%26#39;d have to be right next to the smoker for it to be a problem.
We are from NYC, where all restaurants and bars are now smoke free. Judging from the political spots on TV, the issue of anti-smoking legislation is being debated now, here in South Carolina, just as it was debated in New York a couple of years ago.
We dislike smoke, and my husband is allergic to it. We have never experienced a problem here, although we have certainly seen some people smoking in restaurants. People here are extremely courteous and respectful of other people%26#39;s sensitivities..The sea breeze helps, as well.
I have never had any trouble in MB, just the normal things. (Restaurants that are NS, etc.)You should be fine.
