We are staying here the middle of April.
I have three children, ages 6, 11 and 16.
Can anyone tell me of any close attractions to this resort as of course, I do not know the area?
Thanks.
Spring Maid Beach
You have Downwind Sails just north of the Springmaid --- see David to go parasailing, banana boat, rent a hobie or a jet ski (they give lessons for the hobie too!)...you can rent a fishing pole and fish off the pier too. Or a surf board, take a lesson and go surfing (Surf City offers lessons and board rental).
The Chapin Art Museum is right across the street -- really a neat museum, call ahead, they sometimes have excellent kids programs.
Midway Par 3 is within walking distance --- nice par 3 golf course and driving range, Jurassic mini golf just on the other side of the par 3.
Catch the trolley (runs until midnight) to the Pavilion area or over to Broadway at the Beach (www.broadwayatthebeach.com).
Check out a great map at
www.golymo.com (click map/schedule)
or local tourist info at

Hope all this helps! Have fun! :)
Spring Maid Beach
Hello! I dont know if you are going to be checking this but can you tell me what the Spring Maid Beach Resort was like. I am looking for a hotel. Thank you!
Thanks MBC......the Coast buses look like a great way to save me some hassle getting around, just sit back and let someone else do the driving. Especially back and forth to Broadway and the Pavilion area, no need to hunt for parking!! Love it!
EXACTLY! And its sad that more people dont utilize this service! I know that the buses arent as timely as they should be...and hopefully as more people use this service, that will be rectified.
:)
