Has anybody stayed at the Sea Island lately?

I have noticed the bad reviews lately and wondered if thing were better within the last week? We are leaving on Friday and I was curious how things were. Is the pool bar and grill done?

Has anybody stayed at the Sea Island lately?

I am at the Sea Island right now. I love it here. The beach is perfect. Not too crowded. You can look up and down the beach and see tons of people. But this location is great. The rooms are beautiful. I was booked for a one bedroom, however when I checked in they had upgraded me to a two bedroom for free. I was so excited. We have two bathrooms now. I thought they might have done it because they weren%26#39;t very full, however they seem to be pretty full because the parking garage was full last night. Now the parking garage is a little tricky, it is narrow and you just have to be careful. The elevators are scratched which surprised me that someone would do that. They are stainless steel and someone has scribbled on them. I%26#39;ve noticed in the halls that little details like trim work have been done in a hurry. Looks like they cut corners so they could open on time. However, the rooms are perfect. The pools are great, my daughters love them. Everything is close together so I don%26#39;t have to worry about them. I feel very safe here to. I let my daughters go down to the pool without me. Not my five year old but my 14 and 11 year old. You won%26#39;t be disappointed. I haven%26#39;t eaten here but I would like to try breakfast. We ate at Jimmy Buffetts last night. A lot of fun and good food. About and hour and a half wait. My husband just gave me a flyer that has kids activities on them. I guess they don%26#39;t have them during the weekend but there are tons on the weekdays. My girls will have a blast. On the fourth they are having a baloon toss and a watermelon seed spitting contest to name a few. Anyway, don%26#39;t worry you will have a great time here!!!!! Oh, and the weather is here, wish you were beautiful. lol Kim

We rented an umbrella yesterday. When we wake up around 9 the chairs already have towels on them. This will be our third night here and we are staying till the 6th. Going by fast. ;-( The pool bar isn%26#39;t up yet, but they do serve drinks. Someone will come out and take your order. Try the mango smoothies!!! They were great. The strawberry daquries weren%26#39;t bad either. The place seems to be getting more full today. It was a little harder to get on the elevators, just a short wait when we didn%26#39;t have any the other two days.

It%26#39;s 25 per day till 4:30. The price goes down throughout the day. We didn%26#39;t get one today. Maybe again tomorrow. :-)

Did you get up early to get your chairs at the pooL?

No, we stayed out really late and by the time we got out there 9:30 there were none left. They all had towels on them but noone was sitting in them. :-( Maybe in the morning. lol
