My husband and I are planning a short trip to Savannah and Hilton Head in early July. We have not been to either place. We are looking for a full service hotel with all the amenities so that if we don%26#39;t want to leave we would be happy... restaurants, spa, activities, etc,. It must be clean, have great bedding, good pool and right on the beach.
I have been checking out the Hilton Ocean Club and the Westin. Any suggestions?
We are also looking for fabulous dinning...price not really an issue if it is good.
Thanks so much for the help!

Hello: We visited HHI in January of this year for our first time. We loved it. We booked through Hotwire.com and got a fantastic deal at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. 2 Queen beds (heavenly feather beds), kitchenette and washer/dryer. If you give me your dates, I%26#39;d be happy to see what hotwire has for rates. I will watch this posting.
Hotwire is tricky though, it doesn%26#39;t give you the rate and you don%26#39;t know what place you are booking until you confirm, I know what to look for though. Happy HHI.

There is a thread from about three weeks ago called Westin or Hilton which covers the topic.
Use the search function to find it.

I am curious as to how you know the hotel is indeed the Hilton. My friend and I are thinking of going to HHI for a weekend jaunt. We also want oceanfront and are a bit picky. If you can help us out, that would be great!!! wanting to go from July 7th through the 9th.
I stayed 2 years ago at the Marriott (right on the ocean) and loved it. You could sit in the outdoor jacuzzi and the ocean was just feet away from you. Very nice pool and tiki bar. Not to mention the spa! I loved my therapeutic massage.
They have pretty good food options too right on site and it%26#39;s within walking distance to Alexander%26#39;s; wonderful seafood.
If you get a rental car you can drive to lots of other great restaurants nearby.
Hope this helps. Starz
Hello cin2920:
Sorry, have not watched this post for quite a while. I know it%26#39;s probably too late, but is went on www.hotwire.com and punched in July 7-9 and I am 98% confident that it%26#39;s the HILTON OCEANFRONT RESORT that is showing availability at a price of $133.00 per night. We booked through hotwire in January (first time too) I did my homework and was almost sure I was booking the Hilton because of the 3 1/2 star rating, resort/beachfront/oceanfront symbols, and I WAS RIGHT!!! I also went on www.onetime.com and punched in the same info, it came up with the HILTON OCEANFRONT RESORT for $219 per night, so, as you can see Hotwire is a huge savings. Hope this helps. Hilton is rated 3 1/2 stars, but I think that%26#39;s too low. The beds are heavenly, 2 queens, a washer/dryer, microwave, fridge, dining table etc,and of course, RIGHT ON THE BEACH.
Hi there: just noticed your post. See my post Luckytimer on July 5 (today). We loved the Hilton Oceanfront and it seems to have all the amenities you are looking for. It has two pools, one a family pool and the other an adult only pool. The beds are heavenly, feather beds. Hope this helps. Please take note of my comments about www.Hotwire.com I can%26#39;t praise it enough. The rates are much lower because they sell off rooms at really reduced prices and that%26#39;s why they don%26#39;t tell you which hotel you are booked in until you confirm. But, as I say, I did my homework. The worst you%26#39;ll get is the Westin (but I think the Westin is rated only 3 stars while the Hilton is 3 1/2 stars) Either way, you%26#39;ll get something beachfront and oceanfront, which means you HAVE to be on the beach and not ';one street over.';
Enjoy HHI. Take a drive to Wreck of the Salty Dog, great food, great atmosphere. If you like wings, Wild Wing.
