Bagels? Oysters/Crabs?

Can anyone recommend a good place to get bagels and cream cheese spreads on the island? What about an authentic seafood restaurant where they serve oysters in a bucket and crabs that you shell and throw the scraps in a hole in the middle of the table?

You are referring to Steamers which is in Coligny Plaza. But don%26#39;t order Oysters unless you are coming after September 15th. they aren%26#39;t local or fresh otherwise.

Bagels are best from the bagel bakery which is located in South Island Square where the Longhorn is on 278. It used to be known as the Chesapeake bagel bakery. Some people like the bagels from the Atlanta Bread Company at Festival Center near Indigo Run.

PS Prescotts also serves Roast Oysters in season.

We throw oyster shells in a hole in the table at oyster roasts. I never heard of doing it with crab. Local crab are delicious, but they require a lot of picking, so they are usually prepared in other ways.

Be sure to try wild local shrimp. You can usually get ';peal and eat'; shrimp in a bucket, and they are fun to eat with a group.
