Wondering if anyone could suggest a local market to purchase fresh seafood for us to prepare at our condo? We will arrive in a month. Thanks for the info. in advance.

Bluffton Oyster Factory - in Downtown Bluffton on Warf Street

Captains Seafood - Beach Market across from Coligny

Piggly Wiggly - also know as Martin%26#39;s Red and White - located in Coligny shopping center. Do not confuse with Poderis Piggly Wiggly in Shelter Cove.

Which place would be your first stop? Does each place specialize in a certain type of seafood or fish?

Looking forward to our first trip to Hilton Head.

All specialize in local Shrimp this time of year. They are branded as %26#39;Wild'; shrimp.

Captains%26#39; Seafood and Piggly Wiggley also have fresh catch off the local charter boats. Benny Hudson also has fresh catch.

If you come in the Fall, Bluffton Oyster is the only remaining Schucking facility in the state.

We are planning a trip to Hilton Head the first part of November. What fish can I expect to find in the stores ?

Oyster season is in full swing, so you%26#39;ll find plenty here and in the restaurants. We are still catching Shrimp, so that%26#39;s another possibility.

Blue crab, and softshells are not as plentiful, and it is too early for Stone crab. You%26#39;ll find plenty of Grouper, Mahi, Tilipia, and Snapper at this time of the year.
