New Seaside Inn at Litchfield?

Anyone stayed ( or own) at the new Seaside Inn in Litchfield? Interested in going - would like feedback. Thanks.

New Seaside Inn at Litchfield?

We stayed at the Oceanfront Litchfield Inn June 10-15th in the Tower section. We%26#39;ve been going to Litchfield beach for 5 years and have stayed at the Inn several times. The Inn isn%26#39;t new but it has recently been ';divorced'; from the Litchfield Beach and Golf resort -- in fact, when we booked in February we booked through the Beach and Golf resort but by the time we arrived they were no longer working together. This actually worked to our advantage as the Oceanfront Litchfield Inn offered a 10% AAA discount which was not available from the former management during peak season. The tower rooms are basic but with good ocean views; the ';lodge'; rooms are basic motel units with parking lot views. Higher floors (5 6 or 7) are the best as there is a newish beachhouse to the south of the hotel that blocks some views from the lower floors. Housekeeping and front desk service was fine. The major issue right now is that the former Calypso restaurant and bar is still closed -- it is supposed to be reopened soon under the management of Austin%26#39;s restuarant (a Pawley%26#39;s Island favorite) but for right now there is no on-site restaurant or bar.

Thanks for your feedback - but the Litchfield Inn is different from the Seaside Inn - Seaside is brand new and is a condo property - Litchfield is handling the reservations but they don%26#39;t show many photos. Just wondered if anyone had stayed there yet who could post a review.

Sorry about that -- I%26#39;d be interested in hearing more about the Seaside Inn myself.

We are going to the Seaside in Litchfield Beach this week. We made our reservations through the Dieter Realtor Co. on Pawleys%26#39; Is. They do show photos of 2 of 3 properties they list. The folks were very pleasant, she said the pool is the best with a lazy river and splash pool. It is a walk to the ocean, not sure how far, but the Seaside sits on a lake, and is brand new this year. Will report back when I';m home.

We were at Litchfield By The Sea in March and will be back in August looking to buy real estate. The Seaside Inn is part of the Litchfield By The Sea ';complex';. The Seaside Inn is brand new and I have seen some interior pictures while looking at mls listings. The interiors look nice, everything is brand new. The pool is also very nice. As far as location it is probably about 1/4 mile+ walk to the clubhouse at the beach for beach access. They have walking/biking paths that make it a nice walk - no crossing any busy roads. After touring many condos at Litchfield By The Sea, I personally would choose to rent one of the beachfront condos or the villas. All are very spacious 1600-1800 sq ft and most are furnished very nicely. They may be slightly more expensive but I think worth it. We stayed in the Bridgewater building in March because it had an indoor pool and the weather was a little cool. We only needed a 1bd, but the condo was very small with a poor layout.

Take a look at the condos available in any of these buildings Sandpiper Run, Captains Quarters, Cambridge, Warwick, Fordham, Cresent, Heron Marsh Villas. Most of these are 2bd+ and the price varies somewhat.
