I%26#39;ve been reading hotel reviews and they are much more negative than positive. I%26#39;m trying to find a nice clean oceanfront hotel with a beach bar in North Myrtle Beach. Our kids are 15 and 18 and they don%26#39;t care about amusements and arcades. We would rather parasail or jet ski and they love to shop (wife and 2 daughters).

I would try Kingston Plantation this is very close to the outlet mall.

Kingston Plantation is located in the northern end of MB. We just returned from there and stayed at the Embassy Suites. There are several condo options, but I would recommend the Margate or Brighton Towers. There is a pool bar, several pools and beautiful grounds. www.kingstonplantation.com
By the way, some of the negative reviews under the Kingston Plantation Embassy Suites are really from people who appeared to have stayed at some of the condos on KP- there are many options and some of them are older. The Margate and Brighton towers are absolutely beautiful and pretty new. The Embassy Suites is updated and very nice %26amp; clean. Everyone checks in at the Embassy Suites even if staying at the various condos.
Might look at Avista in NMB. Few blocks above Main Street in Ocean Drive section. Fairly new building. Beach not terrible crowded. 100 yards to the north are houses and the beach is wide open.
Maybe two miles up the beach is parasailing. Maybe two miles inland from there to Little River and Inner Coastal Waterway marinas. Might find jet skis there. Have never seen them on the beach.
Motel next to Avista has a small Tiki bar. Really not more than an outdoor sandwich shop with beer. Two mile to the north in same building as parasail outfit is Harolds on the Beach. Ocean front deck with live music.
Couple miles to south is Molly Darcy%26#39;s on the Beach. An Irish pub with beach front deck.
If first class accomodatios aren%26#39;t that important you might check Blockade Runner in Cherry Grove. Right next to parasail outfit with inhouse bar. Never stayed there. Just guessing maybe a two star building. Not real sure if they%26#39;re condos or hotel rooms.
